We’re just days away from Shine Squad Summer Cheer & Dance Camp, and we’re thrilled to welcome your camper! This email includes everything you need for a smooth and successful week—daily schedules, drop-off instructions, theme days, communication tools, and more.
Theme Days - OPTIONAL ( NEW - ALL CAMPERS MAY PARTICIPATE IF INTERESTED)

Hydration
Water will be available to all campers throughout the day. No need to bring water bottles—we’ve got it covered!

4849 W Illinois Ave, Dallas, TX 75211Camp is located in Building E, which is highlighted in purple on the attached map. The entrance is in the circular drive roundabout off Knoxville Drive, next to Building B, where Bezos Academy is located.

Tuesday–Friday: Use circular driveway – volunteers will assist curbside

Check-In / Check-Out
We’ll use a QR Code system for camper safety. You’ll receive your camper’s unique QR code on the first day of camp. Please have it ready at drop-off and pick-up.

Career Exploration - Dream BIG & Discover!
After a day full of cheer and dance, campers will explore exciting career fields in a way that sparks curiosity and fun! Each session will be designed with age-appropriate activities, making learning interactive and engaging:

Monday: Biology & Healthcare – Learn how our bodies move like dancers and how doctors and scientists help keep us healthy.

Tuesday: Social Media & Greenhouse Tour – Explore how people create fun content online and take care of plants in a greenhouse!

Wednesday: Business – Discover how ideas turn into businesses and play games that teach leadership and teamwork.

Thursday: Engineering – Hands-on building and problem-solving activities to learn how engineers create amazing things!

Friday: Justice & Investigation – Fun activities about detective work, solving mysteries, and understanding fairness.
Family & Friends Showcase – Friday @ 4 PM
We are excited to invite all families and friends to our Showcase on Friday at 4:00 PM, where campers will share the skills, moves, and routines they’ve learned throughout the week! We can’t wait for you to see them shine!
Pick-Up Policy
Pickup Time: Camp ends promptly at 5:30 PM. We kindly ask parents and guardians to ensure their camper is picked up on time.
Picking Up Before 5:30 PM: If you plan to pick up your camper before 5:30 PM, please let us know before camp begins or notify us each morning at drop-off with the expected pickup time. During Career Exploration, campers will be participating in activities around the campus and may not be readily available when you arrive. Providing advance notice ensures we have your camper waiting in Building E for a smooth pickup.
Late Pickup: As camp is run by dedicated volunteers, we do not have the capacity to provide care beyond 5:30 PM. If a camper is not picked up by this time, we will contact the emergency contact provided during registration. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making timely pickup a priority.

Monday: Chicken tacos with lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese*, salsa

Friday: Sunbutter or peanut butter* & jelly on croissants, sliced apples

* Non-milk alternative used for campers with milk allergies
